Where do the weeks go?

I didn't realise it had been 2 weeks until I looked this morning and remembered last week I didn't do my normal Sunday blog as I was busy tidying up the house.

I missed the 'dentist visit report' and so I will briefly say it all went extremely well, in so much as I have agreed and booked to go back on the 21st October to have her clean them, something I've never had done at a dentist because of being too scared to go for even essential pain stuff let alone cosmetic cleaning. Apparently my teeth, not that's there's many now, are in pretty good nick and apart from cleaning and a filling needing repairing, she's actually pretty impressed with how I have looked after them. Going forward she's got my dental x rays from hospital ( which only took 4 days to be sent to me on an emergency request for medical notes, well done Peterborough unlike Kings Lynne who took 7 weeks to send requested medical papers...) #theworsthospitalinthecountryQEH The last week I've been not that great, the whizzing internal tremors when I wake up are getting worse and also happening during the day, I'm getting quite a lot of gastric issues which might be causing the 'whizzy feelings inside' or it might be my thyroid just playing helter skelter 😒😢 But basically the last week has been pretty grim. I'd like to say I'm looking forward to finally getting to the GP on the 23rd ( only been waiting for nearly 2 months for an appointment) but knowing what they are they like, in my 10 minute/don't bring a list/don't ask me to actually do anything or commit any sort of medical diagnosis in case you sue me later, I will probably have waited 8 weeks for sweet f**k all and come away no nearer feeling any less crap! I'm sure the medical professions ethos now is delay people until they end up in A&E and then hopefully they will either just die or someone else will have to put their salary on the line by being incompetent not me!😡. This week see's our brief visit to see Paul's mum up north. I'm definitely not looking forward to the drive, but hopefully if its too awful I'll take to the back and fall asleep. Eating is still giving me quite a few issues, so I'm going to have to try and eat what I can and push the rest round my plate, and I'm taking a supply of fortisips for when I get back to where we're staying. The reminders came up on my face book telling me it was a year ago last Friday (9th) that I was waving goodbye to my tonsils, and today sadly is the anniversary of the 'do over' and the trauma that was tonsil haemorrhage after the op. That's something I would love to forget about but sadly I don't think I ever will. So although most days are still uncomfortable and hard to swallow ( excuse the pun) at least the pain I had those days and during the latter part of radiotherapy are not still with me. Its a whole different hand of cards to deal with these days, dry mouth, swallowing, choking , tasting, hot flushes, whizzy insides, total exhaustion, crumbling teeth, sensitive mouth, restricted neck muscles and dry skin..... but hey, at least we're not in 10/10 pain and we're not dead ( just most days we wish we were 😒) So another 2 weeks of post cancer drifts past, and another 2 weeks nearer Christmas. 🤷‍♀️
