34. First time pain

I thought I was going to be one of the lucky ones and maybe sail through treatment with a scattering of side effects. But its started.

Yesterday I noticed some pinching type soreness at my jaw hinge at the gum inside my mouth. Like back teeth were trying to push through the gum and making it sore and achey.

Last night that progressed to both sides, which made me keep opening my mouth to stretch it constantly, which is uncomfortable.

But during the night, approx 4 30 am my throat on the lump side, left tonsil site, is sore and swallowing has started to be, more than a niggle.

Its like the beginning of tonsillitis, nothing I couldn't cope with but I've taken paracetamol to make it easier to not get lazy with swallowing.

I've eaten toast and drunk tea, all perfectly able, so its nothing major, but I am very aware its there and going into the 3rd week hopefully it will escalate gradually or I've got hell of a long 3 more weeks after this one.

The fridge is full of smoothies and shakes I just hope my taste hangs in there for a bit longer. 😭
