Well its been a while since my last post.
I was relieved to get the initial all clear from Addenbrookes and had planned to visit a few people in my old stomping ground in Kent.
So last week saw me meeting up with old friends, relatives, and loved ones who had all been lurking in the back ground whilst Ive been battling up here on my own.I also had the chance to visit my mums and grandma's crematorium plots 💕
One beautiful friends firsts words were, ' are you coming home and then we can look after you'?
Bless you ❤️x
Meeting up with my 2 female cousins for the first time in about 30 years was a bit of a head spin, but very nice to see them and natter about our whacko family. Hopefully we'll keep in touch 🤞
The trip was crammed with people, hugs, love, and thankfully no germs. Although I have been entirely exhausted this week and realise although I'm pushing to recover, I have to still acknowledge Im pretty weak and feeble and stamina is still pretty non existent.
The bad news is my bowels investigation op has been delayed, and Im now waiting for a revised date. It was 21st April, and the fact I dont know when now Im a little nervous as I want to get it over with and find out 1 way or another if I need more cancer treatment.
I know from others, you are never really are off the hook once you've had cancer, just 'between check ups' but it would be nice to know if its major or just another 6 monthly appointment going to appear in my diary from now on.
My eating is definitely getting better, most food and even some drinks are back almost normal now.
I do get bored and tired of the physical process of chewing and swallowing though, so meals are still small and limited.
My fingernails are still bleeding underneath so I've had to have my beautiful long nails cut really short, and only clear nail varnish so I can keep an eye on them for a couple of weeks. Hopefully my white blood cells will calm down soon and all my nail and skin issues will sort themselves out 😳
I have a few quiet weeks ahead now hopefully, just in time to be spending some time up the Kabin, or the garden tidying up for spring.
Its amazing what I've managed to fit in since this time last year. Blossom 🌸 is on all the trees and now every season feels like a bonus. 😊
